DARRELL A. DONOVAN, President, founder and co-owner of Donovan Brothers, focuses more than 25 years of construction management expertise on client projects. In addition to managing the company, he directs the development of corporate policies and goals for operations, personnel, financial performance and growth.

 

KEVIN DONOVAN, Vice President & General Superintendent, co-owner of Donovan Brothers, has a diverse background in all phases of commercial construction. He supervises the day-to-day field operations, working closely with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve schedules and budgets. Kevin strives to ensure that each project maintains a high level of quality and maximizes the owner’s investment as well as pride of ownership.

 

EILEEN R. SOMMERVILLE, Controller, a graduate of the City University of Washington in accounting, maintaining a high degree of integrity and professionalism. She integrates all phases of accounting to provide Donovan Brothers with financial strength and stability. Eileen works closely with estimating and project managers to ensure that each project benefits from her financial expertise.

 

DAVE KESSLER, Senior Project Manager, is a graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in Building Construction and brings 15 years of commercial and industrial experience to the construction process. Dave’s knowledge of earthwork and vertical construction coupled with his past experience as a developer, gives him the ability to understand projects from the client’s perspective. Experience in all phases of development and construction, including marketing, overseeing designers, entitlements, leasing, subcontracting, cost control, estimating and scheduling, Dave takes responsibility for seeing a project from conception through completion anticipating and dealing with issues before they become problems.

 

BRIAN WARD, Project Manager, is a graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Management. Brian has over 10 years of experience in the construction field (3 years as a Project Manager in a Woodworking Manufacturing Facility, 3 years as a Facilities/Maintenance Manager, and 4 years as an electrician in the U.S. Navy). He works closely with owners to ensure that all of their expectations (cost, customer service, and quality) are met during all phases of the project.

 

JOHN "SHEP" SHEPARD, Project Manager, is a graduate of the University of Washington Construction Management Program. John has over 15 years of experience in the construction field and has worked all over the West Coast. He has had exposure to a wide variety of trades including steel work, iron work, concrete, wood and light gauge metal framing, and a variety of finishes. With 10 years of Project Management experience under his belt, John works closely with our clients to ensure that their project experience meets their expectations, and that it is on time and under budget.

 

DOUG DONOVAN, Project Manager, is a graduate from the University of Washington Construction Management Program and has seven years of experience in the construction field. Doug handles all aspects of project management including estimating, value engineering, scheduling and closeout. Working closely with clients Doug strives to complete projects in a timely and cost effective manner.

 

PAT JOHNSON, Accounts Payable Administrator, has over 20 years experience in the construction accounting field, with the past 10 years handling the A/P Department for Donovan Brothers, Inc. Pat’s professional approach and attention to detail ensures that our subcontractors and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
